Ranch History

Pat McCullough was born and raised on a cattle farm in northern Minnesota and has worked with cattle most of his life. Pat and Marlys have raised Charolais cattle on their ranch in rural Stillwater since 1973. The operation has grown into three locations in the Scandia-Stillwater area. The Ranch has a full-time cattle manager and a full-time crop manager to produce the necessary feed for the cattle operation. The Ranch consists of two hundred sixty stock cows that calve out each year, which includes approximately 180 registered cows.
We received an honor for registering the most Charolais cattle in the upper Midwest in 1999.
McCullough Charolais Ranch sells at private treaty and has an annual bull sale in March at Kimball, South Dakota.
McCullough Charolais Ranch is very much involved in artificial breeding and embryo transplants, and has a well-established base of existing donor cows which include CM Miss Adalida, the 30th National Champion Charolais female, MR Felicia Lady 9804 ET, and from Rambur Charolais Ranch, RC MS Advantage 230 P TW.
We are very proud of our herd sires, which include MR Winchester who won third overall at the 2004 Royal Breeders Classic.

Visitors are welcome to stop by and see our cattle!
